Medical Electronics PCB Assembly Requirements
Traceability, controlled changes and the required product documentation belong in the first RFQ. Medical electronics requirements vary with the device and its intended use; an application page is not evidence of a supplier qualification.
Define the application requirements
Identify the required quality-system evidence and project-specific approvals before supplier selection. Define component lot traceability, revision controls, record retention and the process for approving substitutions. Ask for current supporting documents and verify that their scope covers the work being quoted.
Connect requirements to acceptance
Provide the inspection and test plan, labeling requirements and handling instructions. Explain how assembly records connect to device-level verification. Define which party supplies fixtures and test software, who approves deviations and what documentation must accompany each lot.
Before supplier selection
Submit the relevant drawings, parts list, expected environment and required documentation. Ask for a project-specific feasibility review and current evidence of any qualifications required for your program. This page describes planning considerations; it does not assert a medical, automotive or other application-specific certification.
