Telecom PCB Assembly Project Requirements
Telecom and communications assemblies can depend on controlled RF paths, high-speed interfaces and carefully defined test conditions. Package those requirements with the design release.
Define the application requirements
Include stackup and impedance requirements, connector drawings, shielding instructions and relevant keepouts. Identify temperature-sensitive or mechanically delicate parts. Specify how inspection will address hidden joints, fine-pitch devices and connector alignment for the actual assembly.
Connect requirements to acceptance
Define measurement connections, calibrated reference conditions, firmware and pass/fail limits. Functional test coverage should name the interfaces and operating modes being exercised. Agree fixture responsibility, test development costs and the format of delivered measurement records.
Before supplier selection
Submit the relevant drawings, parts list, expected environment and required documentation. Ask for a project-specific feasibility review and current evidence of any qualifications required for your program. This page describes planning considerations; it does not assert a medical, automotive or other application-specific certification.
