IoT & Consumer Electronics Assembly Requirements
Connected devices combine RF behavior, power management, firmware and a mechanical enclosure. Release enough information to reproduce the intended product configuration at assembly and test.
Define the application requirements
Identify antenna placement constraints, RF connector handling, shielding and enclosure dependencies. State whether modules arrive preprogrammed and whether provisioning requires unique identifiers. Agree how those identifiers are generated, controlled and reconciled without exposing unnecessary production credentials.
Connect requirements to acceptance
Define the functional checks for power consumption, communications and the required interfaces. Separate radio verification from a simple power-on indication. Keep firmware binaries, configuration and test software under revision control, and document which party supplies any secure provisioning system.
Before supplier selection
Submit the relevant drawings, parts list, expected environment and required documentation. Ask for a project-specific feasibility review and current evidence of any qualifications required for your program. This page describes planning considerations; it does not assert a medical, automotive or other application-specific certification.
